Feminist in Training
I am going to pre-apologize for what I will ask here. I am a novice feminist and I recognize that I have much to learn. I clearly will show my ignorance with the following but here goes:
Why do many women support a patriarchal society?
I know why men do but as I look at the various cultures around the world, particularly ones that are very religious, there seems to be a dominant support of the patriarchy by women. I have grown up witnessing the unequal treatment of women but I have been confused why it was done many times by other women? I have also watch in puzzlement as women have gone out of their way to excuse the sexist actions of men and attacked women who are just, simply fighting for all women’s rights and equality.
In my innocence I am confused and I would appreciate what other women think.
Sorry if this sounds too simplistic, I have a significant male indoctrination to overcome but please don’t attack me because I am transgender. I don’t want anything from anyone. Tell me what bathroom to go to, just don’t hurt me any further. I have been damaged enough.
