I live in Brooklyn where the ultra orthodox Jewish community receives public funds and regularly defies laws because of political clout. Throughout the pandemic they held weddings and funerals that included thousands of unmasked people. Kids go to school and don’t learn English nor regular school curriculum. The schools are exclusionary and are segregated by gender.

All this in the middle of the largest and most liberal city in America.
