“Normal” is established by the society itself. Burning witches, killing lepers, ostracizing left handed and red haired people and murdering Jews seemed normal in their respective societies.

I was born transgender. I spent my lifetime medically misdiagnosed just like cancer was misdiagnosed one hundred years ago. Was I born “wrong” is like was I born too short, too long or with a small penis. Such is the randomness of life. Everyone can be subdivided into micro subgroups if enough effort is used to separate and divide us.

I am normal. I just belong in a different subset of humanity. Ignorance is what separates me from being seen as “normal” in today’s society.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

After decades of denial I finally answered the question “What’s wrong with me?” The answer is “Nothing”. I am transgender and I am OK.
