The beauty of being transgender is that there are as many colorful variations in transitioning as there are simply in life.

Each of us has different personal relationships that vary in intensity and life experiences that put our vision of the future through the lenses of a prism. If my experience is different than yours, it should be. I am different from you. If I choose a different path, I have a made choice for me.

And that’s the beauty of your transition. It’s entirely yours. No one is wrong. We are all just different.

We are all thrown into a social and emotional pressure cooker against our will and every aspect of our lives is put under that intense pressure. It then becomes a question of survival. Some things will survive, others won’t.

In that crucible, each of us chooses what relationships are no longer valid and which relationships are critically important to preserve. Each of us makes our own choice.
